J-HATT is an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) ground control station (GCS) that HATS developed for NASA. It is designed to significantly augment NASA’s current simulation capabilities, as well as to become an industry standard for UAS GCS used in the national airspace.
J-HATT supports manual control of one or a few UAS. It has all the critical functions for controlling UAS along with the recent Detect and Avoid (DAA) displays and symbols developed by UAS-in-the- NAS project. Additionally, J-HATT integrates with NASA’s Live Virtual Constructive – Distributed Environment (LVC-DE) and operated in shadow mode in a flight test conducted in July 2015 at NASA Armstrong.
